Well this is a sad thread....

A lot of us just come to a point in our lives where the image of the car has less value to us. I think it’s just part of getting older. It’s kind of funny how often we can just not be bothered as we age. It’s like all those mood altering hormones that effect our brains go away.

It’s always been “just a car” but our passion for it is what made the community. We are all older now and the focus has shifted to what’s really important in our lives. ....and that just not investing money in a car that doesn’t take well to mods to impress people that aren’t in our every day lives. Hell some of us don’t even care about going fast anymore.

i still want one. Once i have room for extra cars im buying a bunch of 90s shitboxes that need work lol.

I still love cars, I just don't have time to be wrenching on them on a regular basis. Hence, my C7 gets used a lot more than the Spyder. I probably drive my wife's Camaro more than the Spyder, too.

I did see that Matt Monett found the 3S 1/4 mile record bounty thread on 3Si and sounds like he might take a crack at it. That could be fun to watch, if it happens.

I wanted to ask ray on Facebook what would it take. What would it take to put a 3/s in the 7’s. Honestly.

Light.
1200 hp?
Slicks?
Dog box? Auto?


Seriously, I don’t know.

I still love my car. I want to fix a couple things so I enjoy it more but it’s not going anywhere.

I'll just trick you into storing them then hit you with the daily storage fees once the fees are more than the cars are worth

Matt still has his Stealth drag car, I guess still sitting in the trailer from the last time he used it.

Mostly what it takes is a motor that won't grenade above 800 hp, and a driveline to match. Less weight helps "tons".
