I LOVE corvettes, and this new one is simply amazing. I'm so glad it made it to production.

Anyone who says corvettes suck(or any other term like it) are either jealous or have no idea what they are talking about.

I grew up with vettes, my Father has owned at least one of every generation with the exception of the current 6th gen. Right now he owns a '01 Z06 and a '05 CTS-V. Both cars are amazing to drive.

Another good reason I left 3si...was starting to feel like Supra owners thinking they drive God's gift. I'm glad I swayed a handful of people over by letting them drive my Z06

Or they've only ever driven an '84

I want to drive a Vette so bad. I have riden in a few, but have yet to drive one myself. If I ever get another car, you can bet it is going to be a Vette.

Don't do it. It's not worth it, especially when the 02s are just a little bit more....and better in every way

The funny thing is, the '01 with 385 and the '02 with 405, the '01's generally had better track times. There is a theory that they were underrated from the factory. Also you can do a simple air intake upgrade to get to the same rating as a '02+

27K for an '01 Z06 with only 13K on it is a great price. What color is it?

The C5 Z06 is only 35 more HP than a regular C5. Your more buying the name. I love the C5 Z06 but my FRC looks almost identical to one. I get mistaken for a Z06 all the time and people look at me like I'm from another planet when I correct them ...(FRC who?) .Then I have to explain the whole production and reasoning behind the model.

You could always opt for an FRC (which is the lightest weight of them all) and mod it, call it day. The only catch is there hard to find.

I was interested in the z06 for both the extra power, and for the suspension. Does the FRC have an upgraded suspension over the stock vette?

Nope I think its got regular suspension but you can lower the car on stock bolts. I went as low as it would go. Thats usually the first thing people do after they purchase.

My sig isn't the best to show how low it is, but I also have 19's in the rear with 24 inches of rubber total for grip Thats wider than the Z06.

The internals from the 01 is different than the LS6 in the 02+. Overall, the whole setup of the 02s is just better.

The only way I would buy an 01 is if it was white with the mod red interior (ugly I think) but they're pretty rare since they only made them that 1 year. So in a collector's standpoint, that would be pretty cool.
