That subframe doesn't look all that strong to me. I'd maybe use it for drag racing, but not for road course type use.

Can you elaborate some? What dont you like about it. Again, Ive talked to A LOT of people and that was never a comment anyone made.

Maybe I'm not seeing it because of the photo being from the angle it is, but it doesn't look like there's much holding the lower control arm mount areas in place from moving forward under hard braking stresses.

The tab does end right there. The mounting area for those are thick but I totally see what you are saying now. I know stock mounting is weaker as I have bent those and I can’t bend these.

Not the mounting tabs themselves, but the whole tube they are attached to. I don't see anything triangulated fore/aft, only up/down and side/side.
If you have to brake hard, what's preventing that whole tube for the LCA mount from getting pushed towards the back of the car?
Post a photo from one side of the LCA mounts and whatever connects down to it. Different angle than from above.

I will get them tonight. I appreciate your input!

Maybe it is fine, but that just looks like a potential problem spot to me.

How much do these cost again?

Hmm, looking at that photo it looks like the front of the LCA mount tube attaches to the front frame locations on the car. That should be okay then.

Powder coated its 1700 once its in your hands. I got it for 1200, I had given up on it when it was 1700 but when I got it for 500 off I couldnt pass it up.
Im not gonna run it till I get some actual reviews. I also really want different lower control arms like Erics.

Ok, was thinking about replicating it, but with larger stock tube.

You think you could do that? Would be impressive. This is all chromoly and pretty dang big around honestly.

It’s hard to see because it’s black but you can see how the control arms arnt just single tabs but have angles in them for support.

Yeah, that's a better angle. I can see they are solid on the chassis end of the tube, and looks beefy enough on the up-tube to the wheelwell frame piece. I'd probably run it. What's the weight savings supposed to add up to?

50-60lbs depends on north south bars, this suppository deletes them. Ive gotten a lot of different thoughts in that over all of this. I honestly like them all. Some really smart people out there.
I believe without them it will run and drive fine. I also believe without them if you crash it will push that engine into the car farther than with them. But also if your using a motor mount plate that basically replaces one but they are aluminum and not near as beefy as north/south bars.

Those solid motor mount plates are going to be bad news if you get in a front-end collision with one. I personally wouldn't run without the two bars under the motor either.

Exactly. This is what DSMs do. I will prob not do the front bar but easy enough for the north/south bar.
