Alonso, Hamilton or Raikkonen?
Who do you guys think will win the F1 Driver's World Championship? Im torn between Raikkonen (a long time favorite to win ever since he was at McLaren) and Hamilton, the rookie superstar. Either way, as long as its not Alonso for me. Massa's pretty much done for anyway.

I don't like Alonso. Raikkonen I like, but Hamilton is a beast. For being a rookie Hamilton is quite the driver. Ever since Schumacher retired it has been all Hamilton IMO.
I got the midas touch when it comes to rollin shit up

Hmmmm. Maybe Alonso and Hamilton taking each other out in the final race, giving Raikkonen the win.
Alonso will be in cahoots with his team for next year, to take out Hamilton. Watch for contact between Renault & Hamilton's McLaren..
Or Hamilton will win.

I'll go with Raikkonen. Gotta support Ferrari
I don't really like Alonso all that much, mostly just because he's the guy to beat as of the last couple years, but I was really hoping Ferrari could steal him. Not anymore though now that they redid Massa's contract. Oh well though.

What about Hamilton's move on Barichello!
F*ck me sideways that was ballzy!
And what about the silly Pom waiting until the most crucial race to make his biggest f*ck up in his first year. McLaren threw away that championship.

Re: Alonso, Hamilton or Raikkonen?
McLaren didn't. Hamilton did. He made two huge rookie mistakes in the two last races (slid off the pit entrance last year, took the fight to Alonso too hard when it wasn't needed today) and he lost the title because of it. There is a reason why they say rookies never win F1 titles.
Alonso is gone for next year. He wouldn't even have been in the car yesterday if he didn't have a shot at the title. Good riddance, I can't stand him and have been disgusted by seeing him in my beloved McLaren.
I am a sworn McLaren fan and a huge supporter of Hamilton (hell I wore a McLaren shirt every single Friday during this season at work.. people got the hint!
) but I will say congrats Kimi. I like Kimi and it is well deserved. However I will not say congrats to Ferrari since I despise them. They have had FIA sucking them off for so long it isn't even funny. I will guarantee that if it was reversed (Kimi behind the BMWs and would win if they were DQed) FIA would DQ them in a heartbeat.
Oh well.. now what to watch.. British Touring Car I suppose..

Yes THEY did. The whole spy fiasco. The Alonso v Hamilton drama's. It should have been Hamilton v Alonso yesterday for the world title, but Hamilton screwed the pooch trying to get round Alonso too early, then the car went south on Lap 7 for 30 odd seconds. While it was his inexperience that eventually cost him the race, I still blame the whole team for that, overall.
What about the Japanese driver running over his pit crew? Talk about a rookie cock up.

Re: Alonso, Hamilton or Raikkonen?
..you blame the team for the driver making a stupid mistake. Makes perfect sense. And the car went south because of Lewis going off track, jumping the curb and damaging the clutch. He had to use the safety override to get it back in drive.
As for last race, it was a double mistake. McLaren held Lewis on track too long on the worn tired. He then did a HUGE mistake taking the turn into the pit way too fast on said tires. Inexperience got the better of him there. Same thing yesterday.
As for the whole spy fiasco.. there is yet to be found ANY evidence of McLaren actually using the information or that Ron Dennis knew about it. In fact, Ron Dennis himself came to the FIA with more evidence as soon as he discovered it.. AFTER the initial trial. So basically by having class and character Dennis cost McLaren the constructor's championship. That is called integrity of a level that Ferrari will never match.

Blah blah blah. McLaren were found guilty yes? Fined 100 + million clams yes? It's said AND DONE.
Why didn't McLaren pull Lewis into the pits THREE TIMES? He had a glimmer of hope had he not fueld for a third time. Of course he would have been heavier on his last run, but he could have done something in my eyes.

Re: Alonso, Hamilton or Raikkonen?
I've always been a fan of Raikkonen so I'm glad he finally got his first championship. I personally don't care about the teams, I just root for drivers. I do wish that the playing field were a little more even though. The BMW Sauber team looks like they'll be pretty good next year.
Scotty, McLaren may have thrown away the constructor's championship but they had nothing to do with the driver's championship. That is all up to the drivers. Hamilton made a very poor call and paid for it. Also, with as far back as he was I don't think he was going to be able to catch up, especially since he would have needed to pass both of the BMW's. Which I'm sure would have only put him back further in the field. He was to hot-headed in that race. Although I'm sure he'll be a good candidate again next year to win the championship.

Next year will make or break Hamilton. If he is as good as I think he is I expect him to compete with Kimi for the title. If not.. well.. we'll see.
I like Kimi and don't mind him winning really. He has had his share of bad luck in the past.
