So....Aaron's car...

Post by Jeff V. »

Aaron's car is without a doubt one of the classiest 3S cars there is. It's easily in the top 5 of cleanest, most tasteful examples out there. He took everything about the car that made it beautiful, and just turned it up another notch or two. :)

But you know... I just feel like it's missing one little thing. One last little detail to move it from a 9.7 to a 10. I can't quite put my finger on it though.

3000GTs just have those noisy, useless, failure prone flappy aero parts on them. At least Mitsubishi finally fixed that shit in 97

The best part of the 3000GT looked even better on my car anyway. :p

I don't think that's Aaron's problem though. Not exactly.

That it's lowered and looks like it's launching?

In all seriousness if the center caps of the wheels. What the heck is going on there.

I think that's just a reflection on the center caps. The angle is because it's not on level ground.

This picture is over 6 years old. It's just the first one I found.

Jeff's right, that's the sunset in the center caps :)

It needs new weather stripping on the windows, and a 96 banana.

I think that might be what's nagging me. Is that similar to an 04 Sebring wing? Think any non-3S nerds would know the difference? :D

need a different antenna as well. Factory ones scream late 80's-early 90's

That's something I really like about most new cars. No cheesy external antenna. Shark fins are ok.

I swear I saw something recently that had two shark fins, but I can't remember what it was.

I dunno. They want, like...$25 for it. That's an awful lot of money for a faded Sebring wing.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer

3000GTs are ugly so that's not it. I think a '96 banana and an antenna would be the icing on the cake though.

I wonder if you could shave the antenna and then run a wire up the inside of the fiberglass trim that runs along the C pillar?

I started looking into hidden antennas shortly before we sold the Spyder. I was going to try to run something up the A pillar. It doesn't look too difficult if you get the correct length and type of wire.
