Hey guys, just thought I'd share a funny story with you. I started working for an insurance company, Hanover Insurance Group, and wanted to insure my car with them because I'd get a really good employee discount. To my disbelief, they won't insure stealths or 3000GTs. I couldn't hardly believe it. It's one of the only models that aren't uber-expensive that they won't insure! Anyone else ever run into this problem?

Here's the list of all the cars they won't insure. In case you were wondering:

You should ask if this is the case.

Never heard of it for a 3/S.

I've heard of it .............but you know I used to work in insurance. Actually most non standard or (non prefered) companies like Direct, Safeauto, etc (mainly high risk) insurance companies do not insure sportscars as well.

That's because for something like 5 years in a row, in the non-exotic car market, the 3/S had the highest average insurance payout of ANY car.

Too many idiots got in bad accidents and must have had some huge medical payouts or something...

Ford Bronco 2 isnt on there? My insurance company wouldnt insure that.

The higher the IRG symbol the higher the rates and some companies have a cut off of what symbols are within their insurable guidelines.

Yeah, the symbols on the 3/S are huge. And we're standard so they must just hate me. haha

friends ferrari is insured no problem thru allstate. something around 160/month for full coverage

My insurance company first told me they wouldn't insure the VR4 (even though I have my base with them). They said they don't usually insure that car, but since I've been a long time customer...she was going to override the system and insure it.
