DOH! Tranny related.

It can never be easy.

My fifth gear was popping out (5spd FWD tranny), so I figured it was a loose gear bolt.

I ordered up a new one. I opened up the tranny today and found out it was really loose. As in, I can spin it with my pinky finger loose.



I considered my self lucky as I stopped using fifth gear as soon as I noticed it popping out and looking at the gears there is 0 damage. Then I looked at (is this the synco gear?)












Seems the bolt did back off far enough to cause some damage. Does anyone know the part numbers for these two? I'd like to get the ordered up tomorrow to get them as soon as I can.

I don't have the part number, but that is the syncro that gets engaged when you select reverse. I would get the new syncro and a new spring washer that goes into the end case. That washer pushes the syncro up against the 5th gear assembly. The case looks to be ok though.
