Check engine light on! WOOO

Alright so i posted this on 3si, and i just want to get some more opinions.

I havent driven my car in about a month due to a surgery I had. I HAVE started it though, every 3 days or so. So i start the car, go to back out of my driveway, and when i start moving the check engine light comes on. So i drive it around the block, give it alot of gas and THE LIGHT GOES OUT. But then, when I let off the gas, THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. What the dillio? It doesnt sound like theres anything wrong with it, it just needs a TOB. Would moisture in the tank cause this? Especially since its winter? I mean if the check engine light was on i would take it to the dealer, but it goes out with alot of gas.

Ok and now the light is just starting to go in and out randomly. And now when I go to give it gas, it stumbles and then when i let off the gas, it jerks pretty badly.

Oh and one more non related thing. My passenger window is pretty slow going up and down. Do you think I will need a new regulator? I know I wont need a driver one because that has been replaced already.

It just pisses me off that this stumbling and jerkiness wont go away. I already did the tune up as well as the t-belt and i have well over 5k into this thing so far and stuff just keeps going wrong.

What year? Datalogger? Take it to an auto parts store and have them pull codes, most do it for free. Could be moisture in the gas, it would cause exactly what you are saying.

Window regulator, there is a write up somewhere on repairing the regulator assembly before it gets bad enough to replace. Either on 3si/3si wiki or stealth316. If its moving slow I would start by cleaning and greasing it with some white lithium grease and find the info regarding the repair and see if its bad. Door panel is a few screws and it pops off.

2nd. what year and what are the codes?

1992 VR4, No datalogger. I think it might be moisture in the gas because the car sat for about a month. Would drygas solve this?

Your first step should be to pull the codes...

I had this problem, without the CEL though. Car sat for a few days and it did this. It went away after like 10 minutes. Im pretty sure there was water in the gas and since water is heavier and settles to the bottom of the tank it sucks it in first.

Get the codes first. That'll help.
