Well I for one have been thinking lately that I should start my dream project car now well atleast one of them. Mine is:

A b16 or b18 fitted into a old school mini cooper.I wouldn't want some extreme power levels just like 450ish whp would more then suffice me. I have it all planned I just want to keep up with a few I've seen on youtube.

The only thing holding me back besides finding out how to do it and finding a LHD mini is my gf. She doesn't approve cause we can't have sex in it. Lame I know.

Videos for reference of what I speak of.

my dream project car would be a BMW S70 V12 (aka McLaren F1 V12 engine) stuffed in a late-model NSX-R body. the engine is compact enough to 'probably' fit in the (modified) engine bay of an NSX-R.

but realistically, it would probably be a current-model VQ-series V6 in an NSX body with a reinforced body, brakes and suspension.

For me realistically, {I say all the time} my 89 is gonna get a boosted LS1 eventually, thats even better I'd say!

Also when the time comes, my Kawasaki ZX-11 sportbike engine will be built boosted and find its way into a small car most likely. Mini, Smartcar, etc... but it will probably end up in something like a 1600lb or so rear engine RWD Honda CRX.

Talking about DREAM project car? A very expensive built very plush LS9 GTM supercar.

Coming in a 2nd would be an all alluminum body Cobra kit car with turbo 1300cc or 1400cc sportbike engine.

there was one of these sitting behind the house we were working on today:

you could pull up beside a smart car and laugh at the people in the big boat :p

v-max engine could be fun...

(not saying this is in any way my dream car, just thought it was interesting :) )

GTM powered by an LS7 or LS9.

if i were going for a sleeper drag car it would have to be a colt or 323 with a td05 6g72 mounted behind me with a 5 speed getrash.

I haven't touched it since July.
I need $1000 for rims/tires atm, just to get it back on the ground.
Then I need to re-do the wiring harness ($$$), then repair or replace the gas tank ($$$), then re-do the roof material ($$$), then tune it ($$$), then paint it.

We're buying a house soon, so I can't afford to spend money on anything for the cars.

Pure dream: Koenigsegg CCX. Fuck the project part and give me a screamer of a car that will require a change of pants every time I floor it.

Realistic: 6G74 in my Conquest. More realistic will be sourcing a wideblock 4G64, dropping on the 63 head and dropping that in my car as it sits. I've been thinking about it for a while now, but I'm not quite ready to sell the SL yet (as it will have to go before I pull the 'Quest out of the mothballs).
