I recently finished my TT conversion as some of you know and my SAFC will not show any air flow. I have checked the wiring and every thing looks good. I soldered all the connections so I shouldn't have any shorts. This thing is ticking me off! any ideas or do you think it's just bad?
Thanks,
Paul

Check the wire going into the SAFC for voltage. If its getting voltage then the SAFC is screwed if not check the source, if thats good follow it up till it stops and fix it
Do you have the airflow on the Karmen vertex setting? I think thats the one the SAFC needs... right?

Hit the MAS wire with a voltmeter at each side of the SAFC connection. Then get coop's lazy ass to pull the throttle cable slightly while you're watching the voltage. Is there is no change then you've probably got the wrong wire.
It shows everything else, even on the data logger. Just the hz on the air flow doesnt show. I kind of think there is something that has to do with the SAFC itself.

yeah i am thinking that it is bad. It does show a line when the car is running but it just sits at 0. There is a screen also that looks like two analog guages it shows TP but no air flow. I will take pics of settings and wiring when I get home Sunday. I will put a volt meter on it too.

Well I bypassed the SAFC today. I wired it up with connectors so I could if I wanted to (glad I did). Damn it felt like I gained 50 hp because I was running so rich. I got some knock so I will watch it closely and see how it goes letting the ECU do all the work.
BTW wife took the camera so I couldn't get any pictures today.
I have it paul, great for boost leaks ans stuff like that. Have to have a GM mas as well. Very very very crude to tune with.
