Another cell phone leak. The car is looking pretty good so far. Lots of bone-headed comments in that thread though.

It was pretty cool that FbodFather posted though. He's Scott Settlemire, one of GM's senior managers for performance cars and auto shows. He was pretty pissed that someone shot that photo, and he is upset because people are making snap judgments based on this one lousy photo, but he's also excited to see people's reactions to the car.

It's such a shame it's still a year off though

Looks pretty damn good so far.
My only complaint is that it looks a little chunky, especially the sides. Could just be the pic though.
I LOVE that roofline and the rear fender design. Of course I could be a little biased because my dad owns a '67.
Either way it looks great so far.

wow..with those bras on, the first thing I thought was "Not-A-Charger? wtf?"
The c-pillar/quarter lines are scary similar in that pic.

But..as it stands, I'll take that Camaro over a Not-A-Charger any freakin' day of the week.

My only complaint is that it looks a little chunky, especially the sides. Could just be the pic though.

The white color is somewhat misleading -- further, the black bras on the front and back trick the eye into seeing 'vertical' rather than 'horizontal' -- and, as others point out -- lighting is everything in terms of showing 'character' lines. (anyone who sees the Red Fiberglass and then the Silver coupe or Bumblebee will tell you that metallic paints bring out the character lines -- something you can't see in these pics...)

Yep. They haven't shown a production version yet, hence the camouflage. GM has repeatedly said that the production version will be "near identical" to the concept though.

Looks pretty good. Not sure I like the wheels. Something with a deep dish would be nice.

Bad lighting + bad angle + crap low gloss prototype paint job + out of focus camera phone + camo = Unattractive unfinished car

You guys need to explain something to me. This looks alot like the current Camaro, like the one in Transformers - right? So what's the big deal about this car? :d ontknow:

I believe that's the concept Scotty, no one (before this pic) has seen the new production Camaro.

You guys need to explain something to me. This looks alot like the current Camaro, like the one in Transformers - right? So what's the big deal about this car?

The one in Transformers was modeled on the concept car. You can't buy a new Camaro yet. Sadly, you won't be able to buy one until some time in 2009

Everyone is so hungry for some hard facts on the production model that they get excited over even the least little things. This pic is significant because it doesn't have the black camo tape that the other prototypes have had, so you can see more of the actual sheet metal.

(That's Ed Welburn, GM's Chief of Design. He was pretty excited to see the first 'real' Camaro)

hey it happens with me with RX-8s almost daily. At some angles I find the car very sexy, then others I think it looks off and unattractive.

There are some angles of a 3S that usually look really bad..
For instance: any time the hood is open.

I saw the pics a couple of days ago. My biggest problem with the car was the fact that they seemed to eliminate the vents near the rear wheels. You can also tell that they added a B pillar to the concept design (as expected).

I agree that the camera angle was bad, but that can be overlooked.

I do prefer the version with racing stripes though.

I noticed that too, I'm hoping that that the vents will be on the Z28 and/or SS version and the one pictures is of a V6 base.
