That's a great point, Steve. Its fine that someone can spend XX,xxx and be quickest/fastest, but the average owner can't afford to go that route.

I really would like to know who could do more with less...interesting suggestion. :)

looks like my idea has been ignored. can't say I blame them. Putting your reputation on the line in a definitive apples to apples challenge would be enough to scare most shops. most....

and Chris's comment of how it would only be two shops competing if it happened. you never know when another smaller shop may throw it's hat into the ring.

I don't think Matt would have any problem with it.

Chris on the other hand....

could you imagine the shitstorm that would ensue if one of the smaller 3s shops entered and kicked the crap out of both 3sx and DR

I think in the long run people like Adam, Trevor and Jack have shown what someone at home without a racing budget could do.

Nobody cares. It gets overshadowed by the fact that IPO spams the fuck out of 3si everytime he manages to take a shit.

Given the same amount of money, I would think that Matt M. and Ray would have a substantial advantage over IPO and Nelson: both of them are incredible drivers.

Oh yeah, that and they don't have to fit 600 lbs of ego in the car with them.

why not just give them both the same stock car and not allowed to tweak at all. Just to prove who is the better driver. You know if there was a budget there would be some cheating.

Nelson would need to take a dictionary to translate the controls. Ignition? Huh?

:smartie:

Although he might be reluctant to admit it, I don't IPO would try to argue otherwise either. The question at hand is who can get the most power and best times out of ___________ (fill in the blank with the latest gripe of the week).

Does anybody really care if Matt's motor has an extra .5L displacement, or if IPO really has a 3.1L motor? Just congratulate the other and move on. One person's success with a different build doesn't diminish the next person's accomplishments. Honestly, their bickering back and forth is retarded...

... and amusing. :D

No. No one should care. They are shop cars and regardless of the crack that IPO smokes, it's nothing like their customer base.

I never really take into consideration what there cars do. No "off" the shelf part anyone sells is gonna make your car do what theres does. Who gives a shit if you cant have 100billion pulls on the same crank. Not everyone has the means to keep tearing the motor down to check 2 see if the crank is cracking. No one is gonna drive around a gutted car. So in sight...nothing there cars do has ANYTHING to do with a customer's car comparason. I think it's pointless to have a stock 3.0 block to "proove" what it can do.....if you have the option to do something larger...y not?

GO big or GO home.
