My first one is an 87 4X4 I6 longbed automatic with 115,000 miles.
Today I bought an 88 4X4 I6 shortbed manual with 237,000 miles, for only $300!
Beat up body, supposedly ran great before current problems 2 months ago. It needs a battery, and it would overheat so needs a thermostat possibly a radiator.
For $300 not bad, within a week I'll have it fixed and this truck is either going to my dad as a work truck, or going to friend Greg that GAVE me the 1st truck (he'll get the 88 OR $600 from me for 87, later).
Pics tomorrow.

I replaced thermostat, filled some water, installed a different battery. Started right up and runs awesome for a 237K mile work truck! Man I love that manual trans, this one feels great.
For a total of $325 invested, meet Betsy (the cow that wouldn't die, white with brown spots):
1 of my brothers just got his license so Jonathan/my dad are going to buy it from me for $500

Good buy Taj! And that truck will make an awesome first vehicle for your bro. I always thought that little trucks make great first cars because they can take the abuse of an inexperienced driver...

Right, the manual trans truck needs a tach there instead.
My automatic manche has an aftermarket tach in it.
