New Car Time

Due to the unforeseen event last Saturday I am in the position of having to purchase a new vehicle.

My choices are as follows:

04-05 STI
03-05 EVO
00-02 Audi S4

Possibly a VR4 too. Leaning more towards the above 3 though.

You know my opinion STI, then VR-4, Evo, Audi if only option.

None of the above. EVO is ugly as fuck. STi is too trendy. VR-4... well yea... Audi but it's pricey.

I'd probably go with the Evo

My friend was telling me yesterday "never buy an audi" repair often and expensive prices bla bla bla. I told him yeah I know I had an 88 Audi 90.

I'd go VR-4, then EVO

*i missed vr4 for some reason, that would be first on my list too.

I'd stay away from Audis as well. The ones we get i nthe shop usually have big repair bills, and they are a pain to work on a lot of the time.

20-25k range?

Probably dont need to spend that much on a VR4.

How about an 05/06 GTO, E46 M3, C5 Z06 :)

Yeah whichever one I choose it will be the cheapest one I can find. Audi would be the cheapest out of all and I don't want a vette or GTO right now. M3 wouldn't be too bad although if you look at the 4 cars I listed they all have a couple things in common.

I know :D AWD/Turbo fan here too. I guess I was really throwing my personal "next car" choices out there.

If I had to choose one of those 3 though, personally I'd go for the S4. I know Audi has a lot of electrical problems and what not, just always had a thing for S4's (ultimate sleeper). STi would be second choice. EVO, a distant third.

Wont really find a low mileage E46 for 20-25, have to spend a bit closer to 30K. At least in this area that is what I have noticed.

I would say go with the Evo. For 11 grand you can pick up Chris Woods (Multiades) VR4 which has TD05's and a boat load of other stuff.

My uncle just bought a low mileage 2003 M3 convertible for $30K or 30-something.

I drove the thing, pure sex on wheels.

You and I think alike. :D

I like the M3 a lot but I just don't want one right now. I have always loved German cars especially Audis. Yes, the S4 is the ultimate sleeper. I might just go for an STi but a VR4 would be nice...or an S4... :sigh:

M3 is nice but it's pricey. The VR-4 is the cheap one out of the bunch but you have a HUGE range of cars given that price range. I'd be test driving a lot.

Yeah but these so far are the only cars I am serious about buying. I could be forgetting some. If anyone feels the need to give suggestions please do...with exception to vette, GTO, and M3...as they have already been suggested.

i could be mistaken but I thought the new 335's are a bit pricey and definetly cant be had for 25k. And they are fairly new so used is kinda out of the question except for maybe 1 yr old or so.
