I bought a three wheeler today

I think its an 85 (but I could be wrong) Yamaha 225DX.

I didn't take my camera, so I just pulled a pic off the web, mine is spray painted a dark green color, but soon to be painted camo.



A friend of mine owns a motorcycle shop and picked it up cheep. I am letting him store/run it for deer season. In return he is putting a new front tire on it, painting it camo, and changing oil/filter. Also he is going to give me massive discounts when I buy and build up my first bike!

The trike is in awesome condition. Seems that it was hardly ever run. The plastic has no cracks or peices missing. It even starts on the first pull (it also has a electric starter, but the battery is weak). Has a semi auto tranny, you shift the gears, but there isn't a clutch.

I'll have to take some pics next time I go down there to ride it.

I'm guessing 225cc 4-stroke..?
Trikes will roll a lot easier than a 4-wheeler if your not riding correctly/carefully when turning, but besides that awesome.
Fast trikes with paddle tires are a blast at the sand dunes as well!
Hard to find any dirt power toy that old in such good condition.

I owned 2 honda 250cc?? 3 wheelers. They were kick ass. They would chirp the tires through every gear. The neighbors didnt seem to think on the same level as I did though, and decided to randomly anonymously call the cops on us. I really want to buy another one, they are just so cheap and too much fun to not have one.
