Got in a wreck

T-boned at 50mph turning into a neighborhood. Road I was on is 40mph but people go 50-65mph on it. Like every other road around here it has dips and is very hilly. I start to make the turn after not seeing lights then midway through some lights pop up out of a dip and next thing I know I am laying sideways across the seats yelling fuck.

Cut my head open, my leg hurts a lot from being slammed into the wheel, and my side is all bruised.

You are very lucky to be alive. That is how my sister-in-law died last year.

I had other people in the car and we all made it out fine. I'm only cut and bruised, my friends were all fine. I was so scared that someone was hurt and I feel so bad for getting into a wreck with other people in my car.

In my opinion and the opinions of others, no one is particularly at fault although the law says its mine because I was taking a left turn. Failure to yield is the specific citation.

The posted speed limit is 40mph but no one does that on the road, the average is 50-60mph. Most of the roads out here are very hilly and have lots of dips. I was making my left turn when halfway through I look over and some lights crest the dip. Half a second later I'm hit and knocked back into place in my lane away from the turn.

I am going to video tape the road sometime this week at night to show how cars disappear in the dips and how everyone speeds on that road.

I woke up this morning and my head hurt pretty bad, side is still sore too.

Yeah that is what scared me the most after I got out of the car, that one of my friends could be badly injured.

If we complete some basic math you will see that the gap between the 04 and 07 World Series is only 3 years, not 80. :p

and 2 in 4 years is a lot better than any formerly great teams have done lately :p

Glad your ok. I was rear ended one day at about 55 and me at a dead stop. Woman said she never seen a blinker for me turning waiting on traffic. It gave me a pretty big case of whiplash. +1 for seatbelts.

Went to check out the jeep today in the light...I am absolutely amazed the passenger was fine. It is completely crushed in but it held up just enough for us to be safe.

Took pictures of the road to show the lack of skid marks from the other car and plan to get some video tomorrow night of cars going down the road.
