when I pull the lever, the lid doesnt pop open. I have to pull a magiver to open it. I take my keys(which has a lanyard) and lift the lever with the lanyard pulling on the lever. Then i wrap the lanyard around the door handle tight to hold it up. Then i got climb out of the passenger seat to pop it open. Has anybody else had this prblem? Im sure its and easy fix but i dont know what to do.

Easy fix. You're missing the spring behind the gas door. Either that or it broke.

My stealth had that problem. the new owner is solving it

I use to have this problem with a celica I had. I had to hold the gas lever open with my foot and reach to the gas door to open it. Funny thing to watch.

Had the problem on a Corrado I had, latch had a pin that went through a hole on piece on door (really locked it shut). I pried/destroyed to get it open.

I think its like $7 or less from the dealer. Mine had the same problem
