I just realized that I really don't give a shit what my XJ looks like. Last night I was repairing some rust and re-painting parts when I realized that this is a Jeep. It is not supposed to look pretty. So all I did was sand the rusty spots down, tape them off, used some rust proofer/converter stuff to stop the rust, put on some primer, then painted it black and topped it off with some clear coat. Now I have a green jeep with black spots...and I could care less.

Camo! Sweet.

You should spray paint a little brown or tan on there, just for shits and giggles.

Here is a before picture. You can see the rust there on the hatch and around the fender a bit. All 4 fender have the rust and so does the rocker panel on the drivers side.

Like I said, I will post pics tonight of it now with the black spots and stuff.

You notice the plate in the sig? That is not photoshopped, those are my real plates. I also have the same decal on the other side so no matter what side you are on, you see one.

I know what you mean. I had a 1990 F150 for almost a year...a few months after owning it, I attempted to repair the standard rear fender flare area rust through that you see on most of them now a days. After some time of prepping, laying bondo, and sanding it, I sai "wait, WTF am I doing? I dont give a shit" Knocked off the bondo ans sprayed it with some black.

I repped the decal AND the positive attitude. Good stuff Jason.

I never got around to taking the pictures tonight. It kept raining off and on and I was just too damn tired. I will get some tomorrow though if it is sunny.
