I have put a good bit of time into these heads. I began doing them just for fun and now i actually trying to make something of them. Here is a list of the things done to them. :

I done them myself at school. Its nothing like DR or Ray but not bad for a 19 year old and 1 years experience i thought.

Nice heads man. I've done a bunch of steel and porting work, but no head porting yet myself.

so, when do you plan to start offering a service doing some head work? Obviously you need to dyno test because thats what people like to see. However if you decide to start doing the work let me know and ill buy a set from you.

Well, Wolf is getting these heads for shipping just to get some numbers out of them. If they made decent numbers i will do all of the above for 300.

Nice, do you re-assemble them as well? I had some head problems and plan to pick up a set of wrecked heads, have them ported and polished, put in some new VSS, lifters and any other hardware and do a swap because I dont know of anyone that will weld and retap the holes on my heads to fix the bad tap on a couple bolts.

Yeah, I will get them. Burn them and clean them. Measure everything on them to make sure there to spec. Measure the valves and all for wear. Grind them. Test the springs for pressure, and then tumble them to get them clean. Check the guides for wear, and port the heads and polish up the combustion chambers, then polish the ports. Then i will cut the seat angles, and then re assemble them. They will be ready to install as arrival.

Sweet, looks like its time for me to buy a set of used heads over on that other site. If anyone comes across a set pm me.

I also check them for hardness and warpness, my bad. For 300 bucks i dont see were it could be bad. Its not DR or Ray, but i think i do decent work.

300.00 is a steal man, not a rip at all. I base things on hours of labor and 300.00 beats out what it would cost just to find someone locally that knew what a 3000GT is let alone clean up the heads.

I'm working on another set right now, first gen, doing same that these had. We may can work something out.

When you get them done send me a PM and we'll talk. Right now I am rebuilding the VR4 fund, she has a couple hundred in there but Holidays are coming so that means lots of OT for me. With the new job the agreement with the SO is all regular pay is household. 50% of OT is for the VR4, rest is household. After bills and such we transfer half of remainder to savings and other half is split to VR4 and household. So I get 50% of my own OT pay, then 25% of whatever is left after we pay bills each month. This will make my funds grow much faster than they used to.

gotta know how to play the numbers game. Its not much but in less than 3 years I have milked about 3 grand for my car. Sad part is everytime I plan out a set of upgrades I start checking the car over to make sure she is in the right condition for them and something happens. I planned for fuel mods this summer and ended up with 2 dead cooling fans, shot valve stem seals and a collapsed lifter. So 99 lifters, new VSS, Flex-A-Lite fans. Well that shot the budget for a full fuel setup so I dumped the remaining cash into upgrading our main PC. Purchased the parts for the PC and the next week someone was selling an exact setup like I wanted, still in boxes on 3SI. Kickin my ass on that one still.

When I did the VSS I pulled the motor mount, completely shot, maybe still has 1 inch of rubber not torn through all the way around so next mod is new motor mounts. That and I have a nice missing spot of paint on my rear bumper, dont get me started on that idiot, and since its pearl and im anal I plan to reshoot the whole damn car. Somedays she loves me, the rest I love her. At least thats how it is with the car.

My strategy is a little different. A combination of glasnost and need-to-know.

"It broke. I'm fixing it." and it's corollary: "It's a spare, for when it breaks." (This is when he finds stuff, or there's new packages I haven't hidden in time).

And "I bought a new fan."

"That's nice."

(Not realizing we're not talking about a $14.99 window fan for the house.)

"Do you think the carpet needs replacing?"

(Yes, I replaced it, got rid of the stock beige/bone color and had a silvery grey done instead...and it does look great!)

"I'm thinking about a head job."

"YEAH!"

And if he gets all pissy because he found something he recognizes as new AND expensive, and knows what it is...

Different strategies, of course, but I will remember the shell game one, thanks. Too bad I suck at the accounting game, but maybe I can bluff it.

Or I can simply resort to my old standby:
