I blew up my fair share of cars in the program. Thankfully I didn't have to blow up any cool cars but I did destroy some real nice condition ones.
On the plus side I didn't have to buy gas for 2 months.

And it left a permanent hole in the used car market forcing prices up.

Oh man, that was a fun time to be a salesman. So easy to deals, and it more or less depleted our entire new car inventory.

Oh man looking at that list there were two 96 Stealths traded in. And 6 99 3000GTs, and 19 Spyders!

I'm more upset about the 96 Stealths than the Spyders. I mean.. 3Ks.. pffft.

How are Hummers not on the list?

Max rebate for a C4C car was $4500. You could get lot more than $4500 doing a normal trade in on a Hummer at the time.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find a running H2 or H3 for less than $4500 today.

But there were SPYDERS under $4500?

And not salvage titles.

Dealerships go by auction and wholesale prices when figuring trades. They were probably just lumped in with the rest of the 3000GTs when they were being priced since they were so rare.

Yeah we had a guy bring in a 97 VR4 with like 75k once for trade (not a CFC), and they only offered him like $6k on trade or something like that.
