I had one, I love them, but there's a lot wrong with them

Their drivetrain is seriously impressive especially with how easy it is to make stupid power in them. Beyond that it's typical late 90s early 2000s Ford plastic fantastic interior and generic 'New Edge' mustang.

Anything regarding the independent suspension in them?

It's nice that Ford tried to 'modernize' with it, but from what I recall it's not considered to be very good as far IRS is concerned. I recall reading drag racers liked to convert them to a live axle. I don't have any personal experience with them though. I've kinda looked for the 99-01 Cobra because they're cheaper and I liked them when they came out.

Absolutely true. Worlds better than the 4th gen Camaro but still not good by any means

Again true. Conversions for the most part are due to cost of getting the IRS to perform. It can be made to work (and be much better on a road course) but most mustang guys make 3s owners look like Saudi royalty when it comes to spending money.
When you can sell the IRS for 2k+ and bolt in a new edge 8.8 for a few hundred bucks that's what happens.

Plus to be fair, the average Mustang guy wants to drag race anyway, not road course it.

I thought all mustangs drove straight. You mean to tell me the front wheels...turn?

The front wheels have to be able to turn in order for them to drive into crowds

I thought they had to spin the tires recklessly in order to initiate a rotational spin in the desired direction of travel. Boy was i mistaken.
