Some of you have seen me talk about it, some of you havnt. So here it goes.

Grand father in law has two old cars. A model A and a 31 olds (that I will get to later)

Recently some people have been coming around and wanting the model A. The brothers want someone to have it but not sold. Enter Coop.

Story goes, the late grand mother in law’s family owned a Ford dealership. This car came from it, sold to an old lady (arnt they all) and after a couple years bought it back, then given to the grandma. She drove it, used it, eventually put it in storage, on jacks for the past 60 or so years. The grandfather in law would go turn the hand crank fairly often and thus it is not seized up. He worked in the school system for 25yrs teaching automotive repair. So no dummy. This car is in crazy good condition. The inside doesn’t need to be touched. The oil is clean. The paint maybe faided or worn away, I can’t tell. Obviously the fuel system, the coolant system, and brakes all need to be gone through. But there are no dents, nothing missing, belts and vac hoses are rotted but it’s all perfect.

It has original repair manuals, owners manuals, service cards, and tons of other stuff with it.

So plan is to come back up with the father in law and covered trailer and bring it back home for me to get running.

How crazy am I?

It’s not getting hod rodded. It’s getting running, then I want to move on to the olds…and hot rod it.

Figured out the trailer issue. Fireman has a 24’ real car hauler but I needed a real truck, better than the avalanche.

Enterprise I can rent 100 a day, unlimited mileage for a 2500.
