Really debating on selling the truck and buying something new instead of modifying it more.
I love the truck, but I can sell it for 2x what I paid for it and use that for a down payment on a brand new vehicle with a warranty, better safety, reliability, mpg, etc. Not to mention the truck is 17 yrs old and is approaching 170k miles on it
In the long run it will cost more to get a new vehicle, but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it.
I honestly really enjoy having a truck and a V8, but I also know it's time to start growing up and being more responsible. We plan on trying to adopt soon and more than likely I'll be working far from home for awhile and the 15 mpg is really getting annoying. But I do use the bed fairly regularly. At least a couple times a month.
I still plan on getting a chevelle in a few years as well so that would fill my v8 need.
One of the biggest problems right now is that I honestly don't know what I'd get. Another brand new truck? Something with better mpg and all around usefulness like a smaller suv? A Subaru?
Not sure what to do at this point. If the used market wasn't so stupid I wouldn't even be thinking about it, but I can make decent money off this truck right now and I don't know if it would be a bad idea to pass up the opportunity to sell it now with the market the way it is.

I know the feeling I considered selling or trading my truck for a new one but I cannot justify the 66k price tag nor the bidding match for a brand new truck right now!

That's why I'm considering something else other than a truck. Like the new outback wilderness or something.

All I have to say, is if you are going to do it…then do it. Do not drag it out…do it.

I feel the same way. Already tired of the mpg I get in the Lexus.

Went a saw a 3.6r outback. Enough room in the back to lay down, more comfortable in the driver's seat than my truck, more comfortable than a new silverado too.
Honestly really debating on trying to get a new wilderness. Comes with lift, tires, skids, new turbo engine, etc. Quick number crunch after insurance, fuel, etc it would be about 250 more a month than I pay now for everything.
Got to think about this
