Electric string trimmers

I have a really small yard and am looking for new trimmer. My gas one is annoying, loud, leaks, etc etc.
I'm looking at Home Depot since I have a 10% coupon...
I can go with a $70 ryobi (that has some longevity review issues) or a milwaukee for $180 tool only that works with my m18 batteries I already have.
The $180 is overkill for my yard but the cheaper ryobi probably won't last.
What do you guys have? any thoughts?

Part of our townhouse HOA fee. They actually do a damn good job as well.

I've started buying the more expensive stuff I know that is going to last, rather than buying something I know will quit working in a few years.

I want a kobalt 24v one as that’s what I have. Like above I’ve heard they last a while.

I have a DeWalt because so my other battery tools are.
I would get the Milwaukee if that's your cordless setup.

I thought I replied to this. My ryobi’s head stopped rotating from edger to trimmer mode an after only 3 months

Yeah, sounds like I will probably be happy with and get the most life out of the milwaukee. I might be able to mow my entire lawn with it, but at least I won't be replacing it ever few months

Buy two Ryobis and pocket the extra $40 that you still didn't spend.

I just bought a Bauer from harbor freight. Haven’t had it long enough to form an opinion.

Have a black and decker one with 20V rechargeable pack. Has a swivel head, so you can edge with as well. I really like it.

pew pew (is there another trigger pull sound lol?)
They came back online today and I used a new coup (not to be confused with Coop) to get 15%. Roughly $155 shipped.
I will be happy. Used my old weed eater earlier this week and of course the gas/oil leaked out over the winter and I can't run it open choke. I've already repaired the fuel line/filter that drops down into the carb but it's an annoying design. It's just a hole in the tank and the fuel hose seals it by getting fished through. Pain in the ass, it really needs some kind of a bulk head connection. SOOO to craigslist it goes lol.

I was just thinking I need one too and have Milwaukee m18 stuff. Where'd you get it and what coupon code did you use?

Home depot, it was a $25 off 150+. Normally as a HD credit card holder, I get 10% every 4-6 months, so I hold off buying larger stuff to take advantage. Not sure if non-card holders get these mailings or if tyou can sign up somehow for it. Probably have to be considering the stituation is you have to use their card to get the coupon.
