Gonna be going to upstate NY and would like to rent a small RV to make it a little easier on our little one and to practice social distancing the best. Have looked at a couple places and just curious if anyone has and if they were happy they did?

I haven't but friends have. They always say renting one isn't all that expensive, but the gas mileage will murder you hah.

Seems about 1200-1500 for the rental. Would be another 300ish is fuel. Vs 150 and our owned vehicle. That’s hard to justify but also would make us feel better.

Are you planning on sleeping in the RV etc. during the trip I assume, since you don't want to go into hotels I would guess? Or do you just want a small RV for more room?

If it's the later, I would say rent a minivan, good on MPG, plenty of room, especially with only 3 of you.

We would stay in if even at her family when we got there. So it would be our room for 6 nights. Also if we did get it her parents would ride with us. If not then it would just be the 3 of us.
