VA3s forum

Post by andyvr4 »

Hi, I posted the following over on 3si, but since a lot of you guys don't ever go over there I decided I'd post here and see what you'll think :p .
andyvr4 on 3si wrote:Hey,

I was noticing that a lot of states have there own forum just for stuff going on in that state and I can not find one for Virginia. I don't know if anybody would be interested in having one, but since I've got extra bandwidth with a provider anyway I set up a simple forum using Mybb that we could use for this if anybody's interested.

The forums url is http://va3s.andyvr4.com.

Just let me know if there's a forum that I'm not remembering and I'll take this one down. I just thought that it might be fun to have somewhere other than just a small subsection of 3si to talk to each other.

If you have any comments and or suggestion about the forum either post them here are there is also a forum suggestions area over on the va3s forum that I just setup.

Let me know what you think,
Andy

Would be kinda cool I suppose, I'd probably visit it a couple of times.

They do, I just thought that it would nice to have a place where we our own sub-forums like Audio/Visual, off-topic, gatherings, etc... not just one forum. I really don't know if anybodies even really interested, but I was bored anyway tonight and had the extra bandwidth so I figured I set it up and see if it caught on :p .

Well, we had mideast.3s for several years, but nobody evey posted there. Then we had a VA forum on US3s for a few months. That didn't last long either. At least on 3si, we can get some traffic. Regardless, I just registered.

haha, yeah it's probably a failed attempt, but hey I had nothing better to do tonight.

Now that you mention it, I do sort-of remember mideast3s, but it was going away right around the same time that I got my 3000gt so I never was very active.

Thanks, it isn't really catching on right now, but we'll see if maybe more people will get interested in it. I put a link my sig to it on 3si so hopefully people will take notice.
