I have the PST aluminum hybrid driveshaft on the Spyder. Seems to work well. 2-piece.

As an aside, it looks like 3SX got hacked hard.

I was just on 3sx and just have to search for what I want. They messed up their site.

There are plenty of places near me that make DS’s. Just curious if I should go down that road or spent the 800-900 from 3sx.

I have PST and ACT 1 piece. Just have to stay on top of the u-joints.

Is there something you don't like about the PST?

Nope, ujoint dried up and caused vibration. Installed a new ujoint, but haven't installed it back in the car. lol

When I had to replace mine, I got the 2 piece aluminum, I think I have PST. It was going to be more for the local place to build me one, or fix my stock one than to get the PST, so I just got the PST.

Both are carbon fiber

I’ve always worried about those when I eventually lower my car. At least a metal one would give me some warning.

You want to aluminum to make noise? I thought they sit high enough up.

I think it was an issue with aftermarket sway bar but I could be wrong. Happened with lowered cars and launching. Didn’t take much contact for the CF to bust. Wouldn’t have happened with aluminum. Even though aluminum cuts the weight in half, cf cuts it in 1/3rd.

ride height has zero effect on the driveshaft. It's more to do with slop in the rear differential bushings and engine mounts that caused the driveshafts to hit the aftermarket sway bars. I haven't seen issues with that since rear differential bushings (non-OEM) have been made available.

I was hoping someone more OG could answer exactly. I only saw them break at the drag strip at launches so I never really knew why.

I've got an ACPT(DSS) 1-piece that I like but I need to start rotating it 90 degrees to see if it'll fix my vibration at 130+. I have solid rear diff bushings and solid F&R motor mounts.
