Mail Jeep

So my wife does like odd vehicles. So odd I can’t ever put an idea of what she will and will not like.

The most recent is an old school mail Jeep. The dj50, which was also an am general. Found a very nice one in Ohio for 4k. Here are the issues. They all seem to be stick shift and they all seem to be 2 wheel drive.

She pretty much refuses to learn how to drive a stick shift.

What’s the point of a 2 wheel drive Jeep?

Sooooo...what is a suitable replacement? What’s something similar that she might still like?

Hahahaha. I wish. She was tempted by a 2nd gen vr4 that was red when I told her there is an automatic conversion.

For the most part. I want to get a 800 mail Jeep and. 2k Jeep with the 4.0 and auto and stop stuff into the mail keep. Heck if could even be the 4cyl and be cheaper.

It’s just blows me away, neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow....2 wheels drive?! Jeep?! What?!

Your right, I usually buy first, ask second. But she like them. Doesn’t like the 55mph issue.

I havnt found a newer one with the sliding doors. I think she just likes that it’s small and cute. Think 1st gen Broncos. She likes those as well.

What are you going to do with a mailman jeep though? No way that thing is going to make it up your driveway.

Speaking of significant others car wish lists..my wife wants me to purchase one of these next. Every time we go to cars shows she's like Meh, until she sees one of these replica Cobras. I can dig that.

Why wouldn’t a mail Jeep make it up my driveway? She just wants to drive it randomly I guess?

Yes. Cobra. Deff in the list.

Because your 4WD Avalanche won't unless it has lockers, so why would a RWD super light Jeep make it?

I wanted the avalanche to have everything the Humvee did. Plus the avalanche is long. Harder to maneuver. Longer wheelbase, worse turning radious, harder to move on my very short, very much odd angled driveway. Also to make sure I get to work I wanted lockers. Or snowed in.

This thread isn’t about my avalanche though. It’s about something for the women. I need to be able to show her a vehicle that she will like and that serves us a little better than a left hand drive, 55mph max, 2 wheel drive, old mail truck.

Can you think of that or just think of poor insults?

This was pretty hilarious though. My wife is rolling.

She is obviously rolling because she doesn't have 4WD and lockers for needed traction!
