For the amount above the sticker price I will be surprised if they can sell the very limited number anyways. But cool none the less.

I love that we're at a place where we can thumb our noses at 455 hp

If you want 455 out of a GM truck, just get the LT1 and done.

Has anyone done a V8 swap on the Colorado yet?

Cause it's just bolt-ons for a factory truck, and they don't come with a V8?

First off that page is spammy as hell. Second isnt the Canyon a heavier truck, by a bit? Looks like 3,600 vs 4,000-4,500lbs. Yea thats a good increase. Finally 450 hp is cool...in a Raptor. Syclone has a heritage for being a potent turbocharged truck. This one is going to be supercharged to 450hp...thats not living up to its heritage.
Just about every limited production "sporty car" out there should be faster than it.

Here's one with a turbo 5.3L L83. 450rwhp and they're looking for ~500 with some tuning.

They should just put the LT4 in it.

I really need to read up on what all the differences there are in LT’s. Our boat has an LT1.

I dunno I think their mythology is greater than reality. Just like the grand national and the typhoon, they were decently quick for their day in stock form, but really it's their ability to make high hp with mods. It's kind of like the 2JZ, everyone ooos and awwws over it, but stock they are kinda meh.

Good luck, GM decided to reuse some of its engine names from the past.

You might be right to some extent, but HP wise their advertised numbers where the among the highest for production cars at the time. Not so much with this truck.

I mean I rode in one with a boost controller and exhaust and I was impressed. I thought it did better than a 3/s with a boost controller and downpipe.

Sure but we also live in a day where 300hp camrys are seen as slow. When they are just as fast as a stock turbo 3S.

That's not stock :d ontknow:
Rumors were they choked down them down so they weren't faster than the Vette stock.

When I first got my '94 VR4 coupe back in '96, I came across a Syclone on the street and it pretty much raped my VR4. So yeah, they were quick. Guessing probably just a boost controller on that one.
LT1 in a boat is probably the standard 270-ish HP mid-90's 5.7L V8.

yeah, that bastard cooling nightmare pre LS aluminum block monstrosity. i cringe every time i see V8 swapped FC or s30 only for it to be a 350 or an lt1. Its almost never an LS :-(
