Any reason why?

Any reason why I shouldn't get an older higher mileage truck for cheaper than the newer Fords I have been looking at?

Plan to keep whatever I get 10+ years, use it as a daily, so figure add 100k-120k+ to it over that time, tow/haul with it, etc. You all know this already.

Besides poorer MPG and perhaps lowers towing, what other disadvantages am I looking at here.

For instance, any reason why I should get any of these?

04 F-250 6.0 Diesel w/ 91k - $15k - https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto ... 56927.html

12 Silverado LTZ w/ 150k - $13k - https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto ... 76031.html

06 Silverado w/ 126k - $13k - https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/ctd ... 82411.html

01 Sierra w/ 120k - $8k - https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd ... 71019.html

11 F-250 w/6.2 Gas w/ 122k - $15k - https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd ... 50937.html

12 F150 5.0 Lariat w/ longer bed - 150k - $14k - https://portland.craigslist.org/nco/cto ... 88796.html

07 Silverado w/102k - $12k - https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd ... 66735.html

6.0 diesel.... Run.
Any of the Chevy's other than the 01 are decent. 01 is kinda junky.

5.0>6.2

Say that 12 F150 with 150k. Worth $14k vs say one with 25k for $25k like this one https://www.beavertonhonda.com/inventor ... f2ckd34437 ? Not sure the real long term reliability of the 5.0. Buying one with 150k will put me over 250k over time of ownership.

Or the 07 Silverado with 102k for $12k.

What's wrong with the 6.2 in the F250?

Its a dog and eats fuel. Mixed driving I get around 10mpg. Its not fast either. My F150 got 18mpg mixed and had plenty of go.

I kept my 2011 F150 to 180k miles before rotating out. Drove the same the day I left it as when new. Solid truck.

Is this a daily? If not get a higher mileage one and just use it to tow. It sound sounds like your not gonna tow a lot so itÂ’s more likely you spend more in gas for the few times you do.

Its slow. Its a gas hog. While it can pull a trailer you can definitely tell you're pulling a trailer.

When I was shopping for a truck, in my research everyone who had the 6.2 loved it :d ontknow:
