Maybe this can be a thread where we bounce CL finds off each other.
To start off im not a big WV guy, but this looks to have some potential:

Get acquainted with VWs "service position".
Also, recall that replacing the starter on my Audi was supposed to be an engine-out procedure. I cut corners by dropping the transaxle only. This is the miracle of German engineering.

Fancy touches. At least its not an H2. Arent the H3s pretty much Coloados? Friend of mine had the decked out Colorado 4x4 with the I5 and loved it.

Me and a coworker have been passing sub 2k dollar finds to each other.
SRT-4s are interesting.
Jeff only posts that H3 because it tickles his PP, but that VW service looks aaaaaaaawefuly awful.

The Audi had rod knock. Not worth the 800 unless you are parting out.

Good tires and on coilovers (not sure brand). If interested please shoot a text! ***CAR PAINT IS ROUGH (Pics do the car too much justice), COMES WITH NO FRONT BUMPER, MANY OF THE LUXURIES NO LONGER WORK DO TO BEING RIPPED OUT, etc for weight delete.
Although this one is neat:

I don't know why you'd even consider the green one. The silver one is probably a basket case too, but at least it looks decent.

Yea, I dont disagree. Problem is finding one that isnt already tuned to hell and less than $25k. This one isnt as bad as most. I feel it wont be long though until prices start to take off even more on well taken care of versions.
If in could find one in great condition under $15k I might bite.
