Any of you use those drive safe programs for insurance reasons? You know, the ones that monitor your driving habits and vehicle usage? I never have and probably won't either. I know it can save me money, but I don't like the idea of them monitoring my driving.

I don't even like the idea of OnStar and the like. Big brother is watching...

Exactly. They don't need to know my driving habits. I may speed and occasionally drive aggressively in the twisties when it's safe to do so, but that doesn't make me an unsafe driver as their monitors may pick up. I use my turn signals. I stop at stop signs. I watch my blind spots and look further ahead. None of that will appear in their monitoring so I have both I have nothing to gain other than my accident free discount without monitoring.

Could save a little by doing that, but to me it isn't worth it handing that kind of data over to a company that will do who-knows-what with it. I don't even get to see what that data is before I hand it over.
