Been looking at in car body jacks ever since I’ve seen them in F1 vehicles. Well there at systems out there AirJax to name one, about 3k in cost.

Get to looking and I’m not the only one whose thought of this.

Always loved these. Huge problem, nitrogen bottle would have to be around 350psi. But talk about just cool!

For absolutely zero reason! I’m on stock suspension, prob wouldn’t even hit the ground. So not gonna but if my car was lower I would. Figured out the bottle too, use an scba from the fire hall that I’m gonna make for the Humvee air pressure anyways.

This. Why do you need this? So you can get the tires far enough off the ground to remove them, but still really can't get under the car?

I could see it for a drift car, but meh for anything else.

Not saying built in car jacks aren't awesome, for prototype and other race cars. But it just seems 100% absolutely pointless on a street car :d ontknow:

Again, my car isn’t low enough for them to even work but I freaking love the idea!

The idea of it is cool. Actually putting it on a street car seems so unnecessary and pointless. Chances are very high that when you actually needed it, it wouldn’t work correctly or would drop your car on the ground or something bad. In general, I’m against adding weight to a car, unless it is a constant benefit.

I should probably get something like that for when the Spyder is on the MaxJax (constantly). Would come in handy for oil changes and such on the Stingray, Volt, Avalance and Camaro (coming soon).

You need one to do an oil change on the Avalanche? They that low?

Also, what level trim do you have on the Avalanche? Beside the Chevelle my next purchase was going to be a 2009+ LTZ Avalanche, but they have that special suspension and wasn't sure how reliable it is.

If it's anything like my Explorer all the air dams and wind deflectors hang low enough you can't quite get under it to do the oil change. Before I put the extended shocks on the Explorer I had to jack up the Explorer ever so slightly.

It isn't super-low, but crawling under there is kind of a pain if it isn't at least on ramps. Ours is a 2010 LTZ with all the options - it has been a good truck. The auto-leveling suspension has a problem, which is common since GM didn't properly seal the electrical connections for the shocks. Other than that, it has been solid for us. I'll fix it in the spring after all the crud is off the roads. It drives fine with the auto-leveling disabled, just can't level if I attach a trailer or haul something heavy in the back. You can get parts online easy enough, but is is around a $400-600 fix, and will likely happen again in another 5-7 years.

How so? Could wrapping them in rubber help to keep water/dirt out or are they in a bad place? Or is it something else fucking with it?

Poor seal. I would guess the proper fix is to just disassemble the connections periodically, clean them up, and pump the connectors full of fresh dielectric grease and call it good.

Got another idea.

FMIC made just about everyone get rid of their fog lights. I always liked my fog lights. Fog lights were huge because that’s how lights worked back in the 90’s.

What if I took the stock front fog light lense and then made it work with LED’s so it would be skinny and functional.
