So Im trying to tune with my SAFC...

I asked in a thread on 3si if anyone could give me a hand. A local guy was supposed to help, but he seems to have backed out with no explanation. Another offered to lend a hand, but I declined because of the local guy. So Im trying to get back into contact with this person...
Anyways, Im trying to do it myself. I have 550s and a Walbro. My TOSs are set to 28 low and my high to 54 . I have -35% across the board, high and low. I took the advice on 316.com and lowered the Ne's by 200 each. Now they said after warm ups my cars o2s should be around .1 to .8. Well my front in that range, but the rear never seems to get much below .50. Lowest is .35, it hit there a few times. They are both practically brand new, and tested ok a few weeks ago. The rear has always been pretty rich.
Also, I now get CEL 25 (mafs) and 12(barometric) (either that or 12 is m. and 25 is baro). WTF?
My question is what do I do from here? And alternately, anyone in the Southern NH area want to lend a hand tonight or tomorrow? Ill pay you! I really need some assistance here...

As long as you aren't knocking, I wouldn't worry too much about the low throttle setting. Lean the low throttle out as much as you can, as long as the sensors keep cycling. If only one cycles, try leaning/richening the correction s bit more until both cycle.

With high throttle runs, you don't have to worry about cycling. Just lean it out to a .92v or until you see knock (whichever comes first).

Reset the ECU and see if they come back. Make sure they aren't stored codes. From those DTCs, it sounds like your MAF is either unplugged, or has gone batty. Unless the SAFC is wired incorrectly, it does not touch the Baro signal. I'd focus on what those DTCs have in common first.

Good Luck.

Well with the base settings, i get a constant 1-3 counts of knock idling.
How do I reset the ECU? I cleared them with the logger but they came back. One is stored (the Baro, I think)I know my MAF is plugged in, and I followed the S316 directions for wiring to a T, I triple checked everything.
Thanks for the response.

Are you sure you are not picking up phantom knock? Its pretty difficult to get knock at idle. If you richen the tune at idle, does it go away?

You can reset the ECU by simply unplugging the battery for ~10 minutes.

The knock sensor is absolutely brand new, Im talking less than 50 miles on it, I bought it new when I put in the 15gs a few weeks ago. It could always be phantom knock from somewhere though. although when I give it a rev i get some higher counts, so I assume my initilsettings are just off. Ill check it out this morning.

Do you have the afc setup for a karman vortex sensor? Sounds like you have a wiring issue, the afc setup wrong, or you have your maf unplugged.

yep, its on karman. I'll double check though. I know the wiring is correct.

I reset the ecu and the cels went away. It also isn't knocking at idle, I switched it to karman again to make sure.

Well Im happy to say I messed around with it a bit and got a good general tune down. Idles and runs lightly with no knock, same when I get on it. And she moves pretty damn well. I was scared to get on it but did a little in first at about 14psi and loved it. I do have one more question though. In the SAFC instructions there is a section for setting the knock correction for a certain type of setup. Is this necessary on our cars?
Thanks a lot for the help from those who posted here and helped in pms.

The SAFC cannot measure knock in our cars. Don't even bother fooling around with the settings.
