13T Install (56k == bad idea)

Post by CursedFish »

For all you fuckers that know me outside of the boards ... yes, I finally put my 13Ts in. For all of you that don't have the pleasure of knowing me, I've had these damn things sitting in my room for at least a year I think.

I finally decided to not buy a bike this season and put some money in my car instead. The pictures aren't the greatest, most of the time I forgot I had a camera. There are a bunch more, but I didn't want to make this thread any more boring than it already is. I know my engine bay is dirty as hell, so fuck off.

Without further ado, here you go:

It begins

It started out as just a turbo install, but I ended up throwing on Aaron's (Good2Go) ATR catback since he's upgrading to a 4". I also felt the need to finally put in my hi-pressure Walbro.

I opted to not connect the coolant lines (as some people have recommended), so the TT thermostat housing was replaced with an N/A one. Additionally, I decided the A/C is worthless and needed to be removed since I haven't used it once in the 4 or 5 years I've owned my car.

The car pulls pretty good for the 10-12 psi I'm running (I hate you MBC), but I'm waiting till next week to throw in some 580s and tune it with the Emanage I've had since the dawn of time. I'm finally getting to use all this shit I collected.

Big thanks as always goes out to Hans@GZP for doing the install (I was the tool/light/beer bitch) and letting me put on the FP and exhaust.

lol, yeah they are. I've had them for a long time. They rock my pants in ways Vinnie could only hope.
p.s. I sincerely hope you took the EGR/charcoal canister out ... and that you got that damn emanage to work. :p
Actually yeah. Hans questioned my intelligence when he saw it was still in there.

The emanage works great. I had a hesitation/bucking under load when I initially installed it. I bought a Boomslang harness (it fucking rules) and put it all together and updated the support tool and firmware for the blue to compatible versions. At 0 correction, it works like a champ.

Forgot to add that I installed the AEM wideband (thank you again Terry - Maximal Performance) and WOT i'm running a little rich: 10.6.
Beautiful.

So ... what's next? Maybe a visit to the track, finally?
lol ... Honestly? 580s, a tune, probably alchy injection, and whatever else I have money leftover to do. I'd like a FMIC in case I go bigger, CFDS, and coilovers ... not to mention the 99 and respray haha.
lol ... same ol dave. :runaway:

well, i vote to toss in the 580s and alchy, tune it, and hit the track ... because you and I both know it'll take at least a year for the FMIC, CFDS, and coilovers to make it from your closet to the car.

:vette:
lol, dammit. That's so true.

It sucks when you media blast your IC piping and don't coat it with anything haha. What a douchebag :)

But yea, rust is a normal part of my day and it makes the jobs take a lot longer to do then normal :(
