Yeah, I think it was Trifecta. The ones that posted on Corvette Forum. More likely they tried to flash and the ECU told them it worked and then promptly overwrote their flash with stock code, told them to go fuck themselves, and they didn't even realize it.

Sometimes the simple things are really satisfying :D

The lock nut for the short shifter was loose, so I was able to tighten that up while I was in there.

Doubt it. It's pretty trashed. I don't really want to anyway. I can hopefully use it as a core when I find someone other than Apsis to to a real CF overlay.

Or maybe I'll finally take a shot at doing it myself.

Just got a good deal on a used OEM carbon spoiler. These very rarely come up for sale. It's got a few minor scratches, but nothing I'm worried about.

It's not the ZR1 wing. It's the same general design as what I have now. It's just all one piece and exposed carbon that'll match my ground effects.

So what's different then?

Jeff's is painted black now I believe, rather than the exposed carbon.

Mine has stage 2 aero. It's got the base spoiler, with taller aero wicker bills on the ends, the larger front splitter, and the full length side skirts. Stage 3 adds a clear bridge between the wickers on the spoiler, and bigger side caps to the front splitter. My ground effect parts are exposed carbon, but my spoiler is metallic black paint. It's just ABS plastic underneath.

Image

The OEM carbon wing is basically a single piece version of the stage 2 design. The side wickers aren't removable, but it still has bolts for the stage 3 wicker bridge if I wanted to add that. It was optional on my car, and standard on the 2018 Carbon 65 Edition.

Image

It's over $2000 new, if you can even find one. C7 Carbon makes a similar one for $1300, but it's on massive back order, and I don't want to spend that much anyway.

I've seen some knock offs on eBay for $500-600, but I'm worried about how long the clearcoat will hold up. I've still got too many memories of cheap 90s import hoods with ruined carbon clearcoat. Even the OEM stuff like the Evo 8 wings were known to fall apart after too much UV exposure.

The GM stuff seems to hold up fairly well. So that's what I went with.

Ok, so functionality is the same. You just get a single carbon piece vs multiple plastic ones?

Yeah. And it looks nicer.

I want to switch over the exposed carbon roof I had from the white car, but the sides are white and I haven't found a matching gray vinyl to wrap it with. I'll get it repainted if I ever finish the camera mirror project. I'll get the roof and the halo done at the same time.

This isn't something I'm going to do any time soon, but I'm curious on everyone's thoughts.

I saw the 6 spoke version of this wheel on a Raptor this weekend and absolutely loved it. It looks like the 5 spoke version is pretty popular on the C8. I've only found it on a few C7s. Fortunately I found this picture on a gray one like mine.

So I'm wondering how bronze would look on gray, taking the blue stripes into account? If it wasn't for the blue, it would be a no-brainer. Otherwise I'd probably go with gloss or satin black.

They're Vossen HF5s if anyone is curious.

Satin black.

You're right about the blue. If it wasn't there it would be perfect.
