Wait, airlift is back on. Ok, so GT-R is out.

Got it.
4K isn’t gonna buy me a gtr. Even if I sold my avalanche 8k, my car 5k, my escape 10k, and add 4K

23k.....A car payment, and no way to tow, or carry my 2yr old.

It will get you that much closer. Hell you dont even drive your 3S, so why drop half of its value into it?

You should be looking at sport SUV's for the family instead. I know I am with kid #2 on the way.

I drive my 3/s, when ever I can. I just can’t often because I have to pick up my daughter. She will eventually be able to ride upfront.

I enjoy driving the avalanche, the escape doesn’t really leave the garage now honestly. The escape is plenty sporty enough for anything I take the family in.

Plus with the wife a new job in the next 2/3 years we will prob be buying a newish Tahoe as that’s what she wants.

You guys planning on more kids anytime soon? As much as i like my 3S it just doesnt work well with little kids. Ive grown to like sport SUV's more for the next decade.

Wife getting a new job?

We do plan on one more, she’s finishing her doctorate so we are gonna wait on that. But at the beginning of the school year she got an assistant principal position.

Yup, 3/s is hard for little kids. Hence towing it to meets and then the wife and kids can stay and I can go run the dragon.

A sports edge would be amazing though. She has her eye set on the Tahoe and I’m good with that. Like I said, Escape is sporty enough for people, I like driving my avalanche, and my car can sit for years if it has to, has before.

I drive my 4 and 6 year olds to school every day in a vr4. Plenty of room for them. My 6 year old sits in a booster in the front passenger seat and the 4 year old sits behind him in a forward facing seat. No excuses :p

I’m still rear facing. Front facing and booster seat, yes, vr4 is on deck....after I figure out my exhaust leak. Lol

GTR has back seats which have LATCH anchor points, so you can put a child seat back there. That excuse is invalid.

This. As soon as Austin is big enough to go forward facing, he's gonna ride in the Stealth.

Vira showed me the video of Hans' kid shifting his VR4. That was great.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Illegal to have kids in the front seats around here, unless the car only has front seats. Not really sure why.

Yes. Gtr can hook a car seat same as vr4. Gtr is gonna have to come down another 10k before I could talk the wife into being able to buy one. Plus with us wanting another, it will be a while. I’m in no rush. I just want the right choice of air ride.

Yes. Usually illegal unless you don't have, or can turn off the passenger side air bag. Yay for a 1G vr4! lol

That kid shifts the vr4 every day he is in it. He loves it. And now he has 1-2-3 gears totally down. He pretty much knows what gear I want and when I want him to shift before I even tell him.

Im sure the GTR has the actual hooks under the seat for cars seats where the vr4 you would have to use the seatbelt which isnt as sturdy.

With you dragging your feet and buying all these expensive parts I might beat you to getting a GTR then. :D

Correct, if you dont have a passenger side airbag, or can turn it off you are good to put a kid up front. Mine are 2nd gens, so im screwed.

Wrong. GTR has the LATCH system, VR4 does not. Much easier to install and install properly in the GTR.

I do have a 1G stealth, so I suppose I could put Austin up front, but it's a pain in the but to move car seats

I think you make a little more money than I do, I just have cheaper cost of living.

You are correct. I was wrong.

I switch my latching car seat between the escape and avalanche a couple times a week, it’s not horrible.
