The chassis won't be ready till November but the deposit and order has been made. I'm probably getting the miata next weekend.

Well let me see, every time I make a thread about what I'm doing I get told I'm doing it wrong so is it not my place to give suggestions as well. So until you try an off the wall project.....complete it, then don't bust my balls for commenting on someone else's shit. (This was not meant towards all just didn't feel like quoting)


The exhaust, the other v8 guy had it exit forward right next to the radiator. I'm sure you could do better haha.

Greg at the end of the day I just hope you complete. I'm glad you care about round vs square cages, your attention to detail is what makes you great at what you do. But I stand by my statement that 99% of us it is irrelevant to.

I can keep going on and on about the engineering behind this chassy if you guys want to hear more. It's mind blowing! That's why I bought one.

You can not build a 3/S cheap enough that will out-perform the Exocet. It really is the car where driver skill becomes the limitation. Even if you build one that only puts 90hp to the wheels.

You have to build it to conform to your particular state law. The kit doesn't come with mirrors, head lights or even a windshield. Its up to you to jump thru the state hoops hunting down and installing those components.

Not really, i dont think anyone would argue that the wrx is more reliable than a miata. The kit itself is about 4k more, not to mention all of the other crap that goes with it. The exocet is pretty much bolt in ready to go. The factory five stuff requires custom fitting and modification. I was kinda interested in the factory five until i watched the GRM build video. Way more work than i would want to do.
