Had an issue with the seat heater. It just would do whatever it wanted to. It would turn on, turn off, fluctuate...it was crazy. Searched and its apparently the window switch that the seat heater goes through? Apparently only does it on first drive of the day then its suppose to be fine. 130 buck part on amazon. I might worry about it if it keeps doing it.

Had the same issue on the shop truck at my last job. It was an 07 Silverado. I was sitting there and out of no where my ass was on fire. It was 90* and I couldn't get the seat heater to shut off.
So I went to program the homelink in the avalanche. Went through the steps and go to pull it around. Just tire spin. Lol. First time trying to leave and avalanche has to go in 4x4 just to get onto the driveway. Locker works...but still needed 4x4.
What kind of tires are on it? I'm on stock '10 tires and driving around in snow in 2WD until it gets deeper than 3-4" of fresh snow on the road. Check tire pressures too.

Tire pressure was checked and correct. They are some nitro tires that came on it. The ground is odd, its a slate type of mud. Its not dirt that makes this mud its little tiny shale, if you want grass to grow on it you have to put top soil.
And yes its on a slight hill. But I also have to put it in auto 4x4 to back into my driveway otherwise one wheel spins and the locker clunks in.

Stinkers sold it with no spare and no tools. I have a friend with a rim, prob go and get a cheap tire on it. Wonder if I can put a set of tools together easily or should I just find a bag for sale online.

Programmed the homelink with the first button for my home garage, second will be my sports car garage, and the last goes to the back of every fire station door. Haha.

True. I knew for a long time I wanted an avalanche, mainly as I knew my wife would drive it and I needed a 3rd family vehicle. It was just which model and year. But when I found one with 101k on it for the price I had to jump on it.

Thinking of changing the rear diff fluid in my avalanche, is it worth getting a new cover with a drain plug? Or since its lasted 100k and will prob last another 100k should I just quit being coop and swap the gasket?
I guess the only advantage would be the heat removing fins on other diffs. Worth it? No?

Not worth it unless there is damage to the cover.
