Hmm. If the rankings are that close, I'd go with the correct size.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Well tire racks independent testing shows its a little worse in winter driving and gets 5% worse gas mileage.

That's in snow, I don't plan to do limit driving in snow  Also I wonder if the fuel economy would be different going to the wider tire, would offset having the proper size in the bridgestone? :chin:

Edit:

Based on this "What We'd Improve: The steering effort is light, and there is some slight, but noticeable, tread growl." in regards to the Bridgestone, I think I'll get the Michelins.
I'm much more a Golf R fan in the looks department
The Golf has more than just looks over the RS. For a DD the creature comfort features along with the better build quality are so much better than the Focus.

The only thing the Focus holds over the Golf is slightly better acceleration but the Golf takes better to mods than the Focus if that’s something that’s important to you.

If I fit into them still and was on the market for a hatch the Golf R would be the only thing I would consider right now.

GTFO of my thread. VW's quality and reliability are some of the most questionable in the entire automotive industry. Not to mention the maintenance and repair costs are higher.

The RS has the same creature comforts as my ST (both fully loaded) and I am not wanting anything beyond what I have. I don't plan to mod the car at all, as it will be my daily driver for a long time.

Consumer Reports disagrees but I can’t argue fact with your opinion.

The Golf R has fewer incentives than the Ford right now so unfortunately there is that fact. Having owned both cars though, I can respectfully disagree with your opinion.

I actually made $$ selling my Type R.... 🤣 Makes no sense. Don’t really get the Hype. It performs well but only because of the R compound tires that come stock.

When did you have an RS?

I only remember your 1st gen ST, a handful of Miatas, a couple RX7s, a couple 99 VR4s, two Civic Type Rs (RIP), two new Miatas (love the hardtop), and you’re Golf R. Man you’ve had a lot of cars

He's the Steve of small sports cars.

Also, couldn't agree with AA-RON more- why someone would want a Golf over a Focus ST is beyondddddddd me. But again, there's that opinion I won't argue with.

Did those consumer reports numbers include just the ST, or did they lump the DPS6 reliability problems in there  .
