Not really. There are more cars on the road without DRLs than with. And DRLs don't do anything for people behind you if they don't turn on marker lights.

average age of cars on the road is 11 years, drls have been popping up since the mid 90s, and they were on most cars in the early 2000s. Id bet more vehicles on the road have them than not.

Rolled into work today with 1000 miles on the odometer. My average speed is roughly 79mph and the car is averaging 36mpg. Even on premium gas, its $25 to fill up. Tank lasts 3 days.
Need to invest in a clear bra. Got a Teflon coating on it now but every morning the car gets covered in bugs (on the road by 4:15am). Every day I come home its got to get cleaned up.
Speaking of daytime running lights, the latest software update gave me the ability to disable them. Not sure why someone would want to do this but...

I never understood this.. and it seems to be far more common here than in Europe.. why on Earth would DRLs not turn on the lights on the back?!?

On 6-25 the car had 1000 miles on it. Today 6-5 its got 2200 miles.
I spend $11ish on gas every day as well as 2.5 hours a day driving it. Still loving everything about the car!
Believe it or not, the car payment, gas and rent at my apartment are STILL cheaper than a mortgage for a place closer to work....

Its 2.5 hours not 5. Hour and 15 minutes one way. If wanted to pay $14 a day in tolls i could be to work in an hour....

I use to swim an hour away (one way) from my home. 11 times a week for over 4 years. So I totally understand this, it does suck though.

Hopefully it is more like 1:15 of driving and not 1:15 of traffic. I had a long commute in Cleveland after I moved out of the house and a chunk of it was stop and go. That sucks.

Its 1:15 driving and closer to 1:30 with traffic.
The morning commute is nice as its 4:00am and no one is on the roads.

That was the only nice thing about working 2nd and 3rd shift jobs. Zero traffic.

My commute is like 10-15 min tops. When i worked and lived in the Bay it was 40-60+ min depending on congestion. Had to pay $5 each day for tolls too. Dont miss that noise.
