Those little mudflaps don't do shit. Idk about where you live but there is a lot of construction and rain here. Didn't realize how good they worked till I put them on my WRX. So if that makes me a trucker hat wearing vaper douche, then so be it.

I like the black ones with the silver or gray letters. I'm not a fan of the bright red ones.

I grew up in Detroit. Your roads are made of glass and rainbows by comparison.

KC is a dream compared to Detroit, but we still have no shortage of rain, snow, ice, salt, and construction.

The only time anyone I've ever known felt they needed a mud flap was my dad, when he was towing his boat. And that was to prevent shit from getting kicked up onto the hull of the boat. Not to protect his truck.

So if I put one on my Miata it'd be a problem? When you do a track day tow points are required.

Lol, at least you have an excuse. We don't get snow or ice, we have no excuse.

I had my Stealth out for two track days. Neither one required tow hooks beyond what were offered by the factory.

Those track pictures I found for my C7 also didn't show hooks. The car doesn't even have a place to install them, which is stupid. It's hilarious because the foam cover for my battery has an indentation for storing a screw in hook. They added screw in attachment points in 2015 or something.

My Audi has front and rear locations for screw in hooks.

Yet I never needed giant mud flaps. I had a little bit of paint wear on the rear bumper when I sold the car. Vira's has none of that, but her car has the subtle factory flaps.

On the track, great. Take them off when not tracking.

Yeah if it's one of the screw in types that's fine but the ones that bolt on or require trimming the bumpers nope. The ones for the Miata use the transport tie-down points, I still use mine for when I trailer the Miata. If I do anything I'll probably paint mine red.

This thread delivers. It took it some time and now it’s killing it.

I would totally drive a ws6. Lol. But only because I can’t afford a vette like some people :suspect2:

I also agree, factory sized mud flaps look good and serve a purpose. The ones that are so big (not to mention on a lowered vehicle) that they command attention are stupid. Things should work without being too visible!

You know what I hate that I thought would never make a comeback? The stupid things you stick on the body. The Ford Escape has them on the fenders. What the freak people. Don’t do it!

I'll maintain my position that factory mudflaps are for appearance and don't do much at all.

I do hope they got an academic scholarship.
All gave some, some gave all.

America is not at war, the US military is. America is at the mall.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of coming back from a deployment to a warzone.

How often do you do track days? 1 a year? So you leave it on all year for just 1x use? To me at least it would be worth taking off in between. Then again I don't mind wrenching on stuff.

IF you actually use it more than 1x a year, then it makes sense, but for a daily like I see on some cars it doesn't to me. :d ontknow:
