A nice looking GS in our parking garage...I really dig the color.

I say for the C6. I feel it looks cleaner than the C7.

You can't go wrong with either one honestly. I just know for me personally, if I buy the C6, which or course has the awesome LSX engine, and a C7 rolled up next to me, when I know if I waited a year or two I could get the C7, I would be kicking myself in the ass for not waiting. IMO - everything on the C7 is better than the C6. Looks, performance, interior, etc.

BUT, I think any C6 or C7 vette is just an awesome car. I love them both. I had a model C5 I built and kept on my shelf as a kid/teen. They have been a favorite of mine since before I could drive. I almost bought a vette 4x in my life so far.

If you buy the older one and dump money into it to make it "nicer", you aren't ever getting that money back - so why not just buy the newer one that you want more? (Assuming you'd prefer the C7).

It's not so much about making it 'nicer' as making it 'mine'. I'd probably want an exhaust on both cars. Tint on both cars. Probably wheels, depending on what came with the car. Android Auto, which I don't think I can add to a 14-15 Stingray at all.

C7 doesn't need exhaust. Trust me. It sounds amazing, or at least mine does with the active exhaust. If you get exhaust stuff on the C7, it is mostly just to make it louder. There's not a lot of performance to be gained other than headers.

Android Auto and Carplay are on 2016+ AFAIK, and there's nobody that I'm aware of who has retrofitted it into a 2015 or 2014.

This is the first sub-40k Stingray I've seen that wasn't wrecked. It looks like those are 64,000 hard miles.

You can't find a good under for less than about $45-50K. That is why if I decide to get with the C7 over the C6 I will wait a year or two. Wait until they are closer to $35k

Speaking of that, when are we going to do that? I'm tied up this month completely, but right now I am free all of June!

This would be perfect if I was ready to move on it.

I'm really hoping to have the trans out this weekend. But I'm sure something will get in my way.

Well if something does, and you can hold off till June, I'll come up and help, that way nothing can get in your way. I would offer to come up this weekend, since Ashley is going to a concert Saturday night, but I am planning to do everything else I need to do to my stealth this weekend except for the transmission.

Also on topic, that Vette in white with the chrome wheels is super good looking :d rool:

Based on what I am seeing locally.

I can get today:

A good C5 today for $15-20K
A decent C6 base for $20-25K
A C5 Z06 for $20-25k
A C6 Grand Sport for $35-40K
A base C7 for $50k

Over the next 1-2 years I can probably save close to $20k for a car. If I use that as a down payment, and the C7 lowers to under $40k, it might be worth it for me to wait.

Ya but, to me, on a scale of 1-10 for looks, a C5 is a 4-5, C6 is a 6-7, a C7 is a 9-10.

I see a C6 on the street and I go... that's nice. I see a C7 and I lose my breath.

Maybe the picture of $15,000 in cash didn't load for you?

I saw it. :ick:

But to me, at least, the C7 is a $15k more of a car.
