Maybe I should sell mine while pricing is still good.

Scraped off most of the mud. Going to let them sit in the yard for a day or two. Let the rain wash them off. Then I'll scrub off the rest of the dirt and see how bad the rust is.feel solid so just surface rust in a few spots. Will clean off as much rust as I can and paint them probably after I get home from CA

If I waited for rain it would be 6-8 months from now. :/

Only a 20% chance this week, so it might not rain.

Debating if I want to stick with black or paint them something different

I’m not a fan of painting big undercarriage parts like that brighter colors.

They cleaned up nice. Definitely have some dents and scrapes as well as surface rust so going to sand and paint them soon.





Also had some fun today.

This makes me want to go find a gas tank guard too. Somehow fell off my priority radar long while ago.

I wish this was more reliable. Lol. I am enjoying driving it still and it's paid for and cheap to insure. But man, always got this nervous feeling in the back of my mind every time I start it or hear a noise. Lol

I rebuilt everything on the 3000 and I am still very leery when driving it.

the fact that i rebuilt almost everything on the forester is exactly the reason im leery driving it lmao

Hell I am leery of the CTS and it is only 9 years old..

That is the hardest part about daily driving this thing. Every time I think I feel a new vibration, or it doesn't start as fast as the last time, or I hear a new noise, all I can think is "what is broken now?"

As much as I don't want to spend the money I really think once I get a job I am going to immediately buy a truck.

Sanded and painted.

1st coat rust converter, 2nd coat high temp engine enamel.





I will probably try to install them tomorrow night.

Clean air filter and clean throttle body and iac got me up to 15.8. Will be curious to see if better fuel gets me over 16

Still haven't installed them yet. Might wait till after CA.

In other news, took it over some rough and steep terrain today. Ya... Could use a regear.
