30 upfront, which they all are I think and I have the 8.25 rear.

Been also debating on waiting out and eventually down the line do 60 swaps if I decide to make it a true off-roading rig, but not sure if worth it.

Let me know what you have for the front, if anything.

Do you happen to know what size bolts for factory skids? There are 4 XJs in the local pick n pull yards from the correct year.

Been daily driving this for a couple weeks now. Alternator took a shit the other day. Put in a new one. The one I had was a cheap amazon one with only a 1 yr warranty. Bought it 3 years ago. New one is from Oreilys with a lifetime warranty.

Put in new LED headlights as well. HUGE difference in what I can see at night.

I will get some pics later today of the new rock rails and headlights and put them up.

They ended up doing something a bit different with the rails. Basically used my Jeep as a test Jeep to try a new way of doing them so that people can install them without having to weld. We will see how they hold up over time.

As you can see, they are experimenting with a way to install these without welding. They plan on producing them and selling them as a DIY home install for people who don't want to or can't weld.



It bolts to the part that is left after cutting on the underside.





Then bolts up through the door frame onto some plating.

This is the 2nd XJ they have done so they are still figuring out the final product, but the first one they did has done some serious off-roading/rock crawling and they are still holding up great. So time will tell how these hold up since I don't plan on doing anything too crazy with this one.

Some guy has been testing those lights with a meter, been very interesting how little light some of them are putting out. Made me gun shy about buying any.

Yeah I really wanted something for my Stealth like this. I ended up getting lucky and got a set of Latitude 42 HIDs used. Those things are really the best for the 1G 3/S

I wish I could justify that. I just couldn’t when they were for sale and now it’s hard to find.

Thinking of running a dual battery set up. Between all the accessories I'm overloading the system a bit. Everything is fine until I turn the heater on. Then voltage dips across the system while at idle.

It has a new alternator and don't feel like trying to fit a bigger one in there. Would require grinding brackets and the timing cover.
