I honestly don't know if there is a next. The only other thing I really want is a McLaren, and that's way out of reach.

The only things I have in mind are the intake manifold I've been sitting on, and maybe wheels. There's really not much else I want to do to it. It's just about perfect as is.

I found a screw in one of my rear tires. So I took the wheel off the car and dropped it off at the Chevy dealer around the corner. Thought I was doing everyone a favor by just dropping off the wheel and not the whole car, with its breakable carbon aero and $$OMG$$ CC brakes, not to mention not taking up one of their service bays. It really confused the service writers at pickup and drop off. Took me three tries to explain there were no keys to find when I came to get it.

Anyway, my rear tire is patched for a good price and I have several warnings not to exceed 100 mph.

Integrity of the tire is compromised. Or at least that’s what they’ll say.

It does really confuse them when they have to go off script.

Been working on a few changes. Talked it over with MI Steve when he was in town, and he agreed the car would look better with the exposed carbon roof, but only if I removed the factory satin black stripe from everywhere but the hood. So I pulled all that vinyl off, and swapped the hardware and stitched headliner over to the carbon roof. I'll take a picture when I can get a nice overhead shot.

When I had the rear tire off to get it plugged, I found these gems. El Cheapo 5mm wheel spacers. Those are in the scrap pile now. I was thinking of replacing them with nice hub centric ones, but the car honestly doesn't look any different now.



I also noticed two of the lug nuts were cross threaded, and the Chevy dealer marred the center of my wheel. They must have removed the tire to plug it. I wish I had noticed before I took it home. Lesson learned.

Anyway, it's prettied up, the tire and lugs are fixed, and the junk spacers are removed. Maybe, just maybe I'll get to take it on a little road trip next week.

Can you even get 5mm hub centric spacers? When I was looking at them before I got my new wheels for the Stealth, I could only find 10mm and above that were hub centric. I'm not sure why someone would put 5mm spacers on a stock setup, since it's barely any amount of offset change. The only reason I ran them was to clear the front Evo/Viper brakes.

If you have some pictures of that wheel before and after the dealer marred it up, I would get a hold of them. Had the Ford dealer do that to a wheel on my ST, and they were actually good about it, and got it fixed for me.

Also, in for pics of the new "look" with the roof and vinyl removed.

yeah beacuse of the weird unknown rear suspension setup on the forester, everything rubs, so i was looking for some 5mm hubcentric but couldnt find any, 10-12mm is the minimum.
