Not cheapest pads and rotors, thats what Im trying to get away from. But yes I bet the calipers are reman, Ive got no problem with that.
Coop
Reman are fine. I bought mine used on Ebay, and rebuilt them myself (it's really easy actually).
I just spent more on pads ($200) and rotors ($125) then they were on RockAuto. But the reason I spent more on rotors, were they were for design purposes, and if they didn't fit, I could take them back to AutoZone easy.

I will have a restocking fee if I don’t like or need to send them back. Honestly if they can’t fit my wheels then I’m ditching it. I love my wheels. So Im even hesitant on what I’ve spent.

Just a FYI some of the rockauto remans aren't great and sometimes are not the correct caliper. I see it frequently for Subarus.

What size rims do you have?

18s
Also for the same amount I can go on eBay and get factory take offs of gt500 with lines and pads and rotors. Just dont know how used or warped they are.

Yeah and the issue with GT500 rotors, is while yes the bolt pattern matches, the hub size does not. Its bigger on the GT500, which means your rotors are no longer hub centric. EvoX brakes are 5mm smaller in diameter (~0.25) and have the same hub size.

Interesting. What issues would that cause? Vibrations?

Potentially, since the rotor would not be concentric to the rest of the rotating assembly.

What are our rear brakes with parking brake option?

Evo 8/9 rear Brembos with 2g rear rotors are supposedly direct bolt on.
EvoX rear Brembos with 2g rear rotors require just a bit of machining to work properly (have to machine the bolt hole bigger, and the caliper mounting face a bit).

Are there much benefits to the Evo8 rear brakes over 3S's?

Over 1g rears yes, 2g rears, probably not much.

Well first day if mock up went about as expected. Need to order bolts.
First the bolts that held on the old caliper are to long for just an adapter plate. Then the bolts that hold on the new caliper are m12x1.5 and only ones I have are stupid long.
But as life with adapters, looks like I will have to do some shaving if the mounting points. Need to go back and read the whole thread to see where others did. As I don’t know if I want to take a little off each or all off of one. Plenty of metal before I worry about it, just life of trying to be a little cheaper.
Thank you for the rear brake info. My 1g reads are tiny. Could deff use an upgrade.

Well....I’m having serious doubts about finishing this. It seems like I should have just gone with something proven.
Just felt that I went down this path years ago I should finish it. Well, I could finish it....I just don’t really like where I would have to go. The bracket is soooo close but just not there. I need so very little to make it right. So what do you do, drill the bracket to allow it to slide some? Have to re weld it so there is no slop? Remake the bracket? It’s simple but it’s thick laser cut steel.
I’m just need to decide what to do so I can move forward. Really kind of kicking myself. First real mod I’ve done in years and it’s not that I can’t finish it...I don’t like all the work I will have to do to make it work.
Honest thoughts please?

So the bracket wasn’t machined correctly?

Talked to a friend, not on this board, and we were texting about these brackets and he finally said, where did you get them? And I sent him the link. He actually called the dude a dumb ass....used his last name and said the whole family are dumb asses. Somehow he meet them at a couple meets. So I dont know if he just ran them like this, or what. Its not far off. It would prob be just fine honestly but its not correct. They need to go on more.
Maybe I will throw up some pics when work slows down today.

If you want the Viper caliper bracket files, I can send them to you. But you can't hold me responsible if they fail (they won't)
Fit is perfect as I had Toni 3D print them for me first to check fitment, and make adjustments from there.
I have to run a 5mm spacer to clear stock 5 spoke 18" chromies. I also made a ring that fits into the hub to extend the hub out 5mm to keep the wheels hub centric as well (that I can also send if you need to run the spacer).

Can you give me an estimate on how much, brakes, caliper, bracket, and everything else cost at the end of the day? Just a ball park? And do I have to do the evo thing?

Man that sucks he didn’t even make you proper fitting brackets. Parts like that you don’t want to drill out bigger after the fact. Lot of pressure and vibration channel through those parts.
