It has the g80 rear end, already backing into my driveway I got wheel spin and it locked. It’s a 4 speed trans but it will work. It does have the towing package so I can haul like 7,000 and that’s more than enough for me.

Thanks! There are some things I’m gonna do as its a used vehicle but when I get done it will act like a 100k vehicle.

I’m very happy to see the trans was serviced. I was very happy to see the alternator replaced. I was happy to see the fuel pump replaced. My previous Chevy blazer I had to do all 3 of those.

So I will change the TC fluid and rear end fluid, fix the steering, figure out this catilytic converter issue, and fix the overflow tank that leaks. Then it will be ready for its 2k miles a year. Lol.

Deff has had more stuff done to it than imports of same mileage but heck, soon it will be the lowest mileage vehicle at our house as I will blow past 100k in the escape and the wife isn’t too far behind me. It was a huge buying point as it will be good for years and years to come.

Thinking about this as well.

Also, already talked myself out of this, read some problems with full lock and what not. I don’t want to deal with that. But they do have a stronger bracket to hold the idler arm. But it’s 200 bucks. Curious if it’s worth it.

Prob going to do this. This doesn’t seem to be a problem yet but it is on my dads and know it will be. Might as well fix it now. Wish this guy added the temp gauge for the trans, but that seems like a lot more money for some reason.

The "repair" is literally just reflowing the solder connections. You could do it in 5 minutes with a soldering iron.

I guess it is cheap to do, but I'd wait for it to start failing. Might not ever be a problem for you.

Is it not just a matter of time? I thought they all fail and do it slowly so things might already be off?

So I went to program the homelink in the avalanche. Went through the steps and go to pull it around. Just tire spin. Lol. First time trying to leave and avalanche has to go in 4x4 just to get onto the driveway. Locker works...but still needed 4x4.

Anyways, took a couple times to get it programmed but it’s done. Put the avalanche in the garage and while it’s not as wide as the Humvee it’s longer. The garage can handle it but it deff takes up a bunch of it.

I added half a qt of oil to it until I can just get to an oil change. The new coolant overflow tank comes in today but it’s cold and will prob not get to it till it warms up. I am gonna drive it today as I’ve bought a vehicle and haven’t driven it. lol.
