Miata gives me 36-39mpg depending if I drive 70 or 85mph to work.

Always got better mileage cruising in 5th vs 6th gear when driving under 70mph.

I got 30 in my Stealth on a trip once. That's with the God awful stock 5th gear gearing.

I got 23.5 on E85 coming back from the NG in St. Louis a few years ago. That's like 30-31mpg equivalent on gas. Though I was only doing 70mph. I got 27mpg on gas to Wisconsin one year too.

It’s a silly thing to get excited about but drove the car in the rain for the first time today and there actually variable speed wipers. Not just intermittent, ON and FAST but there single up MIST and 6 different speeds before ON and FAST.

Maybe the NC had this option but up until 2005 the Miata was a very basic car. ....and to think the ND is smaller than the NB too!

Rain sensing wipers are better. Like automated headlights, never think about them again.

This. I miss the rain sensing wipers on my BMW. They were perfect.

I find rain sensitive wipers to be a little too sensitive. They tend to activate before their really necessary, and also they tend to go to too high of a setting for my liking.

Disagree about auto headlights. Sometimes they aren't on when they should be and drivers are too stupid to turn them on themselves creating dangerous situations.

The grand touring ND Miata has both. Preferred the car that came with the LSD, brakes, suspension and body kit vs the all out drivers assisting features like Auto Climage, lane keeping assist and collision warning... The Acura had all that stuff and don’t miss it.

My blazer had them and they were perfectly timed. It was like when I was gonna reach down and turn them on it did it that exact second. I would venture to say the same amount of people that don’t turn them on would be the same amount of people who wouldn’t anyways....since they arnt missing them on auto that is.

I would say you made the right choice in options.

No the problem is people think since they're automatic they don't have to worry about them. I see several Dodges and Nissans that have "automatic" headlights where the headlights are not on when they definitely should be. Part of the problem is the dash lights up whether headlights are on or not.

I'm obviously not talking about headlights not on when it's dark more about during in climate weather when headlights are less about seeing then they are about being seen.

My thoughts on this one is those cars have gauges which are always illuminated and don't have automatic headlights. They don't turn their lights on because they can still see their gauges all the time.

Have auto lights and wipers in the Ram. Work great. Occasionally when I have my truck serviced the techs turn off my lights. Takes me a minute to remember and switch them on.
