What did you think of the BRZ? How did it fair for gas mileage?

Gas mileage is the same at 85, about 25mpg, but I get 35 or so between 60-70mph in the WRX vs 30mpg in the brz, so it's better if I'm not in a rush. I really liked the brz, but it needed FI to truly be fun on the street. Would have been great on a track or autox, but it's sad when a full size truck can decide to not let you over. I'm a big dude and while I didn't have issues fitting in the brz or getting in/out, it's a lot more difficult to do so than the wrz. My brz had lowering springs and everyone had trouble getting out of it lol.

Does the WRX really get 35mpg or is that just what the dash says?

Reason I ask is I’m starting to think I made a mistake buying the TXL. It struggles to get over 25mpg...

It can if I try lol. Already tested it to decide if I'm going to do the speed limit to brg.

Dash shows 40+ sometimes. I think it's DI that does it. The bmw got 32-34 on the highway.

No complaints. Fuel mileage isn’t great at 85-90, but I don’t think I can complain about that really. Will probably put a ton less miles on it now that the forester is running.

think its about time to trade this guy in. Been wanting a lexus gx470, and ive been kicking around the idea of trading it in for one, but i know ill miss it. Just doesnt make sense to have a WRX and an STI. Ill probably be getting rid of the forester as well. It was a silly idea to begin with, and as it is now it just doesnt make sense. Ill pull the drivetrain and set it aside for something else later, grab a stock setup from pull a part probably. or just scrap it, idk.

Yeah I started looking at them back around when I bought my Explorer. They are good trucks, just tend to be higher miles and expensive.

I wouldn’t call sub 10k expensive. Not when it’s basically a 4Runner and they go for much more. Most of the ones I’ve seen are 150-200k miles though. Robs has 240k.
